The Fachhochschule Potsdam is a college of arts and sciences offering praxis-oriented courses of study in 23 bachelor, master and diploma degree programs with concrete professional perspectives. Approximately 100 professors provide guidance for 3,500 students, who are also supported by another 200 university employees. Based on the numbers, the Fachhochschule Potsdam can guarantee clear structure, small workgroups and allow for close partnerships between students and teachers to develop. The close links to partners in the region, domestically and abroad enables practice-oriented study from day one. Interdisciplinary projects give students and lecturers from other faculties and courses the opportunity to work together. FILM UNIVERSITY BABELSBERG KONRAD WOLF
Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF is the largest and one of the most modern film academies in Germany, located in the heart of Babelsberg Media City and in close proximity to the Babelsberg Film Studios. In these excellent surroundings 10 BA and 11 MA programs offer comprehensive education for careers in film, television, and new media.
With its unique educational approach that focuses on both craftsmanship and teamwork, as well as its successful artistic productions and innovative research projects, Film University Babelsberg plays a decisive role in shaping the future of moving images. In addition, the university's continuing education programs and events contribute to the discussion of cultural, social, and political issues.
MEDIENINNOVATIONSZENTRUM BABELSBERG (MIZ)
As an institution of the Media Authority Berlin-Brandenburg (mabb) the Media Innovation Centre Babelsberg (MIZ) is dedicated to funding cross media innovation projects beyond traditional broadcasting and support skill development. The MIZ funding addresses specific trends between new content and technologies at the interfaces between radio, TV and online media.
With the initiative FILMUNI.HPI plus the MIZ supports together with the Hasso Plattner Institute and the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF the networking of students in Berlin/Brandenburg and the promotion and development of innovative media and IT solutions. In cooperation with the project partner Fraunhofer FOKUS and the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) an interdisciplinary team has been chosen to develop the interactive video format »Culture Magazine interactive« which will be introduced at CHANGING THE PICTURE 2015.
