Session 2: content meets it

Smart IT services and networks for film, TV and internet content

The new core technology for film and TV is IT: Babelsberg offers several IT services to meet modern challenges in production and distribution. Data management, opening up niche markets for content producers, research management and apps will be presented and discussed in this session, as well as the necessary infrastructures, which enable these possibilities.

Session 3: the future generation

Educating storytellers and creative technologists in Babelsberg

This session reflects the unique density of training opportunities for storytellers and creative technologists in Babelsberg. Here a completely innovative TV program format, based on new technologies, will be presented. It was developed in the context of an interdisciplinary initiative FILMUNI.HPIplus, in cooperation with partners such as Fraunhofer FOKUS and ORF, and realized with the support of the innovation promoting, MIZ-Babelsberg.

Session 4: innovating tv

Technologies for producing and distributing TV in Babelsberg

Technologies for production and distribution of television are continuously being developed in Babelsberg. This session introduces intelligent workflows, technologies for mobile LIVE TV and web distribution, and preparation of archives for distribution.

Financing media content projects, research and innovation

b. EU funding and financing for media content projects / Creative Europe Desk Berlin-Brandenburg

The two sessions will provide information on the latest European funding opportunities within EU programs such as Horizon 2020 (session a) and Creative Europe (session b), addressing in particular the needs of small and medium sized media enterprises. The Enterprise Europe Network Berlin-Brandenburg helps small and medium sized companies from Brandenburg and Berlin to access EU funding (e.g. Horizon 2020) and to find partners for your technology project or business idea.
